First Night alone, we dropped off the kids at the Samiis (Thani you, guys!) and hit Pho in Everett before staying over at Brandon and Heather's before our early flight Saturday.

Saturday evening we arrived, walked on the beach, and found a quick dinner at Senor Frog's.

Marlin fishing is huge down there.

Our beach

We took a free ferry over to a private island by our resort where we could lay on a secluded beach and order whatever we wanted..

Mazatlan has the longest beach boardwalk in Mexico.

Kyle loved his food from El Shrimp Bucket. We liked the cactus.

I loved the fitness facility on the beach for the locals. I also spent lots of mornings running along the boardwalk.

We stayed at the beautiful El Cid Marina.

Doesn't he look happy?

Like all the ten-year-old girls there, I had to get the beach braids.

I wandered off while everyone was enjoying their free tequila and climbed this big tree.

Good bye, Mazatlan. Thank you, Kurt, so much for the most amazing anniversary present we could possibly have asked for!

We were blessed last month to have Grammy Pammy and Grandpa Greg come to visit us from sunny Bakersfield and stay a week! We got to enjoy lots of good family and friends that week. How blessed we are to be surrounded with God-loving people in our lives, friends and family who truly love people, friends we have known for thirty or more years! Life long friends are a rare treasure, and we pray we will never take the people in our lives for granted.

Mom and Greg had the best time they have ever had this time because they decided to take each child, ONE AT A TIME, to the hotel over night, instead of everyone all at once. A special bond was created, if there could have even been a deeper bond than what there already was, as each child got to enjoy full attention on their special evening/morning at the hotel with grandparents! Now G & G are hooked and just about useless in their jobs down in Bakersfield as their hearts are already here. Less than two years until we get you back! We miss you, Mom and Greg!

Easter fun

Coloring eggs was really special for Gabriel this year. Good Friday is always a day of remembrance for us; we had a Passover meal, read the Good Friday story, colored aggs, and enjoyed each other.

Easter was special because we got to see Kyle's side of the family. Great Grandma Behrends brought her much loved apple pie. We also got to enjoy an egg hunt with Caleb's girlfriend's daughter Stella who is about three years old and very precious. Thank you, Grandma Debbie for Easter outfits; what fun to celebrate the most exciting day of the year by putting on fresh, bright new clothes. We had a blessed Resurrection Day.

Heather and Brandon's

We got to go over and visit Brandon and Heather a while back and got some cute shots of the cousins playing. My favorite one is of Mattea, and she was so proud of herself because she could balance a cap on her toe as she sat in her little chair...and then I was so proud of myself because I could balance a cap on my foot, but I still wonder why everyone clapped for Mattea when she did it, but nobody really seemed that impressed with me. :)

Projects

We lost our baby bunnies, all nine! Very sad. Dum-dum Mama Bunny had them outside the nest box, but here they are, before they passed. :(

Cuties!

Kyle is AMAZING!!!! He put this nest box together in minutes! I didn't know he could build things like that!

Trying to get our yard back, after it had been torn up this last winter by the septic people.
It's all seeded, and we now have baby grass!

Guess who helped us rig this thing up: You know it... Papa Culley!
